Friday, August 19, 2011. Some really beautiful non-human visitors are attracted to the gardens in Independence and Liberty - butterflies, rabbits and birds. The female cardinal below is more beautiful than can be seen in the shaded tree below. Her colorful red partner has been too quick for me to photograph. We also spent a fun afternoon at a wonderful petting zoo - definitely a must for families with children. Madison had such fun feeding the baby goats and riding the pony, as well as other animal activ.

Monday, February 21, 2011. A Day at the Museum. We have a membership to the Anchorage Museum and the kids really like to go there. We went March of 2010 to the Star Wars exhibit with our friends the Barneys and the kids loved it. I think I may have posted about that. if not, I will later.
